报告人简介
Dr. S. Kainuma is Associate Professor of Department of Civil and Structural Engineering Faculty of Engineering at Kyushu University, Japan. He earned his Ph.D. at Nagoya University, 1999, Japan. He has research and teaching experience of Nagoya University and Gifu University as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor. His research area is corrosion problem of steel material, corrosion simulation on steel surface, behaviors of corroded steel structure, and fatigue problem of welded joints of steel, aluminum alloy and stainless steel. Now, he has a plan to make prediction model based on electro-chemical corrosion phenomena to evaluate its effect on steel structures as bridges, water gates, plant structures, ships and oil terminals. He published over 50 original papers in the research field recently.
Dr. S. Kainuma is the member of Japan Society for Civil Engineers (JSCE), Japanese Society of Steel Construction (JSSC) and Japan Welding Society (JWS). He was the winner of Tanaka Awards and Structural Engineering symposium paper awards by JSCE in 2006 and 2002, respectively.
